Welcome to St. Pius X Parish

Dear Family,

The strength and vitality of our parish community depends on each and every one of our parishioners. Our parish covenant speaks the truth when it asks for us to "participate actively in mass and the sacraments." Our Sunday celebrations give us the opportunity to hear God's Word, partake of the Body and Blood of Christ, interact with other members of our parish family and be renewed by God's grace.

The Eucharist is the center of our life as a faith community! I hope too it is the center of our lives individually. Recognizing what hunger does to the human body we can only imagine what sustained absence from the Eucharist does to the Christian who fully understands the meaning of the meal that Christ brings to us time and again. Absenting ourselves frequently from the table of the Lord will not cause lightening to strike but it will ultimately cause us to be misdirected or disoriented in our lives. We will lose a sense of our connection to God and to one another. Sustained absence can leave us feeling alone, even forgotten. We can become overwhelmed by life for we feel we are up against it by ourselves. The Eucharist gives us strength, deepens our reserve of courage, restores our hope in times of adversity, and sustains us through times of darkness.

Join us each weekend on Saturday or Sunday and "break bread" with us, the bread that gives something more lasting than a full stomach. It is true food for the journey to everlasting life. Let us pray for one another – there are so many needs and, for some, so many obstacles to peace and happiness. Our prayers can aid even those we do not know but to whom we are intimately connected.

This year of 2015 is a celebratory year for St. Pius X. We as a parish community will celebrate the 60th anniversary of St. Pius X parish this fall. A small parish of about 200 families started in 1955 has grown to a vibrant community of over 1600 families in 2015. We thank all past and present members for helping to sustain this parish over the past 60 years!

Love,
